FAQs

Advice guide

How do you keep iSold's fees so low?

By using clever technology and centralising our services, we avoid expensive High Street overheads — but still deliver the same (or even better!) service. We charge £1,499 (inc. VAT) on completion. You can also pay for additional services. Find out what you get for your money by clicking on Selling with iSold.

How are you different to a traditional agent?

You take greater control over the whole moving process while we undertake the key processes only professionals can do. You choose what level of support you need, according to your budget. We arrange for our local Valuation Manager to visit your home, we'll market your property online, we handle the negotiations and complete the transaction; if you want additional Premium Marketing or accompanied Open House viewings, you'll pay a little extra. We use a local Valuation Manager who knows your area, but we've cut out High Street overheads by centralising our Branch Team to keep our fees low for you. This enables us to spend a greater proportion of your fee on marketing your property and finding buyers, to get you the best possible price.

How quickly can you market my property?

Subject to your availability, we aim to carry out a Valuation within 48 hours of receiving your Instruction, and if you use our EPC provider, our Domestic Energy Assessor can carry out their energy inspection within a further 48 hours. We'll prepare your property details and load them onto property websites within another couple of days — quicker than everyone else we know! We offer a speedy service while aiming to get you the best price for your property.

Where will you market my property?

We'll advertise your property widely online with the leading websites including Rightmove, Homes24, FindaProperty, Globrix, Primelocation, Mouseprice and many more as part of our Essential Marketing package. We also offer newspaper advertising as part of our Premium Marketing package.

Why is using iSold better than trying to sell privately online?

With private sales, you have to do everything yourself! With iSold, you choose how little or how many of our services you would like to use. The hardest part of achieving the best price for your home is the sales progression to overcome various hurdles. Our experienced Branch Managers progress your sale and keep it on track, keeping you in the loop all the way.

What makes you better than estate agents who are solely online?

We ask you to look at their services — then compare ours. Our service covers all the essentials while, at the same time, we get the best price for your property. We use a professional local Valuation Manager, supported by an expert Branch Team using our knowledge as part of the UK's largest independent estate agency. We offer marketing not only online but in newspapers. Plus we are a one-stop shop, offering all services under one roof. We offer all the expertise, but for low fees.

Is there a place for traditional estate agents these days?

Absolutely yes. There are sellers who will still use the traditional agent with High Street premises. We're just offering an open, transparent alternative with all the advantages of the traditional service.

Can I talk to someone in person for advice?

Not only can you talk to someone seven days a week, but we allocate you your own Branch Team who look after the whole sales process. You will be given a direct dial phone number and personal e-mail address.

What local knowledge do you have if your "Branch Team" is centralised?

All our Valuation Managers, i.e. the people who come to see you to value your property, measure up and take photos, are based locally to you. They know the area, what properties are worth and what buyers are looking for. They also have access to very sophisticated software which tells them what the property market is like in your area. The way we keep our costs so low for you is by centralising the core support functions.

Will I get a For Sale board?

We'll guarantee you'll want one of our eye-catching For Sale boards outside your home! The more people who know you are selling through iSold, the more interest there will be in your property. Plus we use a professional Sale Board company to put up your sign, keeping it safe and secure outside your property.

How safe is the information I give iSold?

All our computer systems are heavily protected and comply with the Data Protection Act which ensures your details remain private and confidential. We do not give information about you to third parties.

What if I have forgotten my password?

You must reset your password via the iSold website and a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Is there a minimum contract period?

Unlike other agents, we don't tie you into a minimum contract period. You can market your property with us for as long as you want, choosing additional Premium Marketing as and when you wish.

Can I use iSold if I'm already on the market with someone else?

Absolutely. We support a multi-agency arrangement for no extra fee. If you are with someone else and would like to instruct us too, you just pay our normal charges.

How soon will you be in my part of the country?

iSold is rolling out across England and Wales during the coming months. Please keep checking this website for latest updates. We're aiming to sell homes in every postcode in the UK and will have a dedicated team for your area.

If I want to sell through iSold, what do I do next?

First of all, you will need to register with us, which will enable you to instruct us to sell your property. See our information on Buying through iSold for further information or call us.
